Iraqi Human Rights Society – USA Calls for Higher Support to the Children’s Rights in Iraq by the Government and the International Community
On the occasion of International Children’s Day, Mrs. Perwin Isho, member of administrative committee of Iraq Human Rights Society – USA, Mrs. Isho made the following statement:
On the first day of June, the entire universe celebrates International Children’s Day as a significant component of human society in support of Children’s rights in live peacefully. Thus, in accordance with constitutional legislations, it is a priority for the international community and governments in all over the world to respect international treaties that guarantee children’s rights and protect them from violence and abuse.
Children in Iraq are passing through hard time due to the spread of COVID 19, deteriorating economic condition and increasing rates of unemployment that negatively impact children’s wellbeing and children’s access to education and health services. Thus, children are subject to be abused in child labor practices against their well, the thing that destroy children future and further development.
Iraqi Human Rights Society – USA calls both the Iraqi government and the international community for more support to children’s rights and wellbeing.
