Hamid Mrad meets the President of the Green Iraq Association in Europe
– Shared water is a source of cooperation and good relations between countries.
– Iraq has the right to claim its share of the Tigris and Euphrates waters.
– Helping refugees to improve their living and educational conditions.
The President of the Iraqi Society for Human Rights in the United States, Mr. Hamid Murad, met in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with the President of the Green Iraq Association in Europe Mr. Saleh Naeem Al-Rubaie.
Al-Rubaie reviewed the activities of Al-Akhdar Association and its interest in the environmental fields, the issue of preserving Iraqi territorial waters, the importance of supporting Iraq’s claim to its share according to the international treaties and working on the importance of stopping dam construction projects near the international borders. The two sides also discussed means of joint cooperation to activate the activities of human rights organizations, Assist newly arrived refugees to improve their living and educational conditions.
It is worth mentioning that the Green Iraq Association in Europe launched a global campaign to collect signatures to protect Iraq’s share of the shared water and signed by the President of the Assembly during the meeting.
